My Bengalese are busy feeding all the zebs chicks they can find at the moment:rolleyes:, plus sitting on eggs of their own in the aviary (7 Bengalese in the aviary sharing duties)

They are taking fostering to the next level, this is my latest addition, he is very handsome.

i have quite a few bengies, even some grey pearls and a crested :) the only problem i have is that they wont breed :( they lay eggs then leave them....so far we have 1 chick

here are some pictures of them (excuses the mess and the state, the pics were taken not long after getting them)

how do i get them to breed? haha i see about 4 sat in one nest on top of each other too! they are in an aviary with zebbies and some canaries :P

that's the beauty of Bengalese they will raise almost anything for you... from my own experience of using them to foster a couple of clutches of exhibition zebbies this season!!! they don't seem to feed as well as parent  raised which in turn seems to slow the development of the chicks. however live chicks are bet then dead and although a bit slow both clutches are getting there now.
