Clare L 175 Report post Posted June 15, 2013 What I thought was as BC Fawn is indeed a BC Fawn Cock. He has started to colour up now taking his time about it , pic below Still a way to go yet with colouring up. The flank markings are starting to come through they are showing a dark brown rather than the usual chestnut. This is a first with this colour for me, cann't wait to see the full colour
zebba 'D' 43 Report post Posted June 15, 2013 Hi claire, Lovely looking bird, but from the picture it looks like a bc fawn female to me. Do you have any close ups? I may be wrong.:-D Chris

Clare L 175 Report post Posted June 24, 2013 Hi Terry, Your Youngsters look great. This is my first BC Fawn, I knew one of the parents carried BC but not the other. So this was quite a surprise for me. He's colouring up nicely but will be a couple more weeks yet. Not quite sure what to pair with yet, but I have bred a fawn/BC hen this year thats unrelated so could be a good match for him. Will post pics once he has coloured up fully for you to compare.
