  1. Now that i have had a proper look at HER i can just see a very faint black line going down the side of her beak like most of our other females have. Also she never shuts up
  2. Not too sure so it would be best if i message you my phone number. Any time after 11am would be fine.
  3. Sunday would be fine It is probably best if we meet you at Tesco Then you could follow us home and see where we are going to home the Finch (If you have time) We only live a min away from Tesco. If you are coming on the M55 branch off at the last junction follow the road round the roundabout and take the 3rd turning then take the 1st left and Tesco is left at the next roundabout. Or our home postcode is FY4 4TU.
  4. Had to take the egg out of the nest as the zebbies were not interested in the egg and started to build other nests around the aviary better luck next time i suppose
  5. Answer to my first post I have found 3 little eggs in one of the nests so fingers crossed we could have little babies in the next 3 weeks
  6. Hi all Just a quick question. 2 of my Zebbies have started to make a nest in one of the boxes, Does this mean that the female is ready to start laying or are they just marking their territory so other birds do not use the box, Also when i go into the aviary the male flies around the nest. Cheers
  7. Hello Tracey As a newbie myself welcome. Hope all goes well with the finches. I use to keep a couple of them in a cage in the house a few years back and the noise they made was quite funny at times. Althought i found that the never bred while in the house. Kev
  8. Hi all just joined the forum. I have just started breeding Finches again after my daughter pestered me into building her a aviary. Use to keep zebras a few years back started with 6 (3/3) ended up with about 40. Had to stop though as the old aviarys roof collapsed and they all escaped. So now i had finished the new one and of i go again the size of the new one is 13ft long x 7 ft wide. Hope to learn a bit from the forum. Also into football and fishing
