  1. This method will take a few years to work out but its worth it, you get a nice normal fawn cock bird pair it to your fawn penguin hen keep the offspring from them, following year use the males from the chicks repair them back to fawn penguin hens, while pairing one of the fawn normal chick males back to its fawn mother, this should produce some fawn penguin males, you keep line breeding back into the original pairings until you succeed. I would use two large normal fawn cock birds and pair them to two fawn penguin hens this allows you the chance to cross the pairings.
  2. I will be trying to produce fawn penguin cock birds over the next few years I have about 15 fawn penguin hens all ready to start, I am aiming to purchase some normal exhibition size fawn cocks to pair with these fawn penguin hens, the following year I will pair the offspring males back to pure Fawn penguin hens I should then with luck breed some fawn penguin cock birds. Will keep you updated on the results.
  3. I have been breeding Penguins for years I have about 25 breeding pairs all the birds have pure white chest / breast with no bars on them at all, however they still throw the odd cock bird with breast bars, I only keep the best for breeding however I have also bred clear breasted penguins from the slightly barred penguin pairings. Be very selective in your selection of young penguins you are going to run on for breeding and you will find after so many years that you have / are breeding good quality birds without these unwanted markings. The hardest thing to do with penguin zebras is breeding Fawn Penguin Cocks I have lots of Fawn hens and I am going to try a few cross breed pairings this year to breed Fawn cocks. Good luck mate. Alf
